Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Veterinary and Comparative Biomedical Research (VCBR) will be primarily subjected to review by a scientific editor for suitability and relevance of the findings to the scope of the journal and the quality of the science presented in the paper. If it is accepted in the first stage, the manuscript will be sent for the next stop and assessed by the editor-in-chief, otherwise, rejected at this stage. The usual reasons for rejection are insufficient novelty, serious scientific flaws, poor quality of illustrations, and improper manuscript form. The manuscripts considered for publication are sent to a minimum of 3 experts for external review by experts in the related field. The peer reviewers will be blinded to the name and affiliations of the author(s). Corresponding authors are expected to respond to reviewer comments point by point and make appropriate revisions. Revised manuscripts may be re-reviewed and based on the reviewers' recommendations a final decision is made by the editor. Once accepted, original articles will be published in order.
